Strawberry Milkshake Recipe

June 27, 2020 · Rhelena · Leave a Comment

Strawberries have so many health benefits, and what better way to enjoy them than in a strawberry milkshake. They are high in vitamin C and antioxidants that help to maintain a strong and healthy immune system. They are good for your skin, your blood pressure and so many other things. So why not make them a part of your daily diet?

This strawberry milkshake recipe provides you with two choices on how to make this. You have a healthy choice and then a tasty choice that no one is going to be able to pass up.

If you have access to fresh strawberries from the farm, then you’ll have a delicious milkshake either way you make this. This is because fresh strawberries are juicier and sweeter than out of season and frozen berries.

If using out of season berries I like to add bit of ice cream to make it taste a bit better. Depending on your preference, it can be as simple as switching up half a cup of milk for half a cup of ice cream.

Strawberry Milkshake Recipe

Here is a quick and easy snack idea to get you through your busy afternoon.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

Notes

Use nut milk for a healthy choice, or go with whole dairy for a tasty treat.
Swap out 1/2 cup milk for 1/2 cup ice cream or a sweetened yogurt if you can’t find fresh and in-season strawberries.
I love everything vanilla, but you can omit that if you like.
