Scalloped Dishcloth

Scalloped Dishcloth

As soon as I saw this dishcloth pattern from My Recycled Bags, I knew that I had to make a few for myself. The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn, but I decided to use a size 3 cotton crochet thread instead. I followed the exact instructions and it came out the perfect size for me because I am not a fan of large dishcloths.

As for the crochet hook that I used, I honestly cannot recall, but I think I used one slightly larger than what is generally recommended for size 3 thread.

Anyhow, the pattern works up very quick and easy. And once you make one, it’s hard not to make another 🙂 I really love the lacy effect of the edging.

  1. Your dishcloth turned out great. I like smaller cloths too and crocheted one of these using some sport weight cotton. It turned out a nice handy size too.

I love the look of your new crochet blog here. I wish you best wishes on your new venture.

    1. Thank you Cindy. I’ll have to try it in a sport weight cotton. What brands carry it? because I’m not sure if I have seen it before or if bernat would have it.
