Here is this months pattern for the Granny-Spiration Challenge by EyeLoveKnots. For this month’s pattern I decided to revamp an old pattern I did some time ago using Red Heart Holiday Scrubby yarn. I love the scrubby yarns, except they are non-absorbent. They make for excellent scrubbers, but are no good for wiping down the table and counter.

So… I decided to try mixing it with cotton to give me the best of both worlds, and I love how it turned out! I simply worked the classic granny stitch in the round and switched up the scrubby and cotton yarns after each round.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials:

Yarn:

Red Heart Scrubby (Worsted Weight (#4) 100% Polyester, 3.5 oz. / 100g – 92yds / 185m) Coloway: Stream
Red Heart Creme de la Creme (Worsted Weight (#4) 100% Cotton, 2.5oz / 70.9g) – Colorway: Royal Blue

Crochet Hook: H 5.00mm

Gauge: 1.35″ over first Rnd.

Finished Size: 6.5″ by 6.5″

Abbreviations:

CA = Color A
CB = Color B
Ch/Chs = Chain/Chains
Dc = Double Crochet
FO = Fasten Off
Rep = Repeat
Sl St = Slip Stitch
Sp/Sps = Space/Spaces
St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches
Stdc = Standing Double Crochet – Refer to this Tutorial

Notes:

Change colors up as desired, working with two or more colors.

Rnd 4 can be repeated as many times until you reached a desired size.

Use any yarn and hook size that you like.

Crochet Pattern Instructions:
