Baby Sweater that I Tested

Hexagon Baby Sweater

It has been at least a couple of months since I had the privilege to test a baby sweater for Patrice Walker from Yarn Over, Pull Through. It was the Hexagon Baby Sweater, which you can find on this free pattern page.

The pattern is unique because it is made simply by crocheting two large hexagons, which are then crocheted together to form a small sweater. It is really neat how the pieces are put together to form the sleeves as well as the front and back of the sweater.

I made mine in a solid color, but the pattern provides instructions on how to use two colors as well. The sweater works up fast, making it the perfect pattern for a last minute baby shower gift.

  1. Hey Rhelena, thanks for the “shout out”! You sweater looks great in a solid color.

Just wanted to let folks know it’s not my design. Elaine Tripiano, a Brazilian crocheter, has four videos on YouTube that I watched to create a written pattern in English since the videos are in Portuguese. There are also several other Hexagon baby sweater patterns on the Internet by US crocheters. For those who want to see the original videos, there are links in the pattern to them.

Hope all is well with you. And thanks again for testing the pattern. It was a great help! Aloha!
