I filed my business license and have an EIN my next step is to _____________
To be honest, I haven’t done this step yet. I should probably look into this some more…maybe I could claim all my yarn when tax season comes around next year. 🙂
There is so much to learn, and I sometimes wonder if I will get myself in trouble with the law if I don’t fill out all the proper paperwork. But for the time being I don’t worry about it too much. I do not own a business name, but I report all my income and do not claim any expenses. Plus, I’m not selling anything other than advertising space. All transactions are done electronically, so I can’t hide any income even if I wanted to. I can’t see how I could get myself into any trouble, but you never know.
Anyhow, I would say that my next step is to just continue to do what I’m doing, but at a more frequent pace. Instead of publishing once every couple of weeks, I need to publish at least once or twice each week. Another thing I need to focus on immediately is to get more active in marketing through social media websites.
As for employees, I don’t think I would want my business to grow that big. I think it would take the fun right out of it. The only way I would go for that is if I had someone whom I could trust 100% to run the business. This way I could remain behind the scenes with my hook and yarn.
The focus of my blog is crochet. Mostly I want it to about the patterns I crochet, my upcoming patterns, my personal crochet goals and so on. My goal is to update this blog at least once a week. As for my main crochet pattern site, I want to update that at least once or twice a week, and my directory will be updated hopefully on an almost daily basis.
